Alistair has almost 30 years’ of strategic master-planning and urban design experience, including urban regeneration work both from the UK and in New Zealand. Alistair joined Jasmax in 2008 and over this time has developed and nurtured a highly-regarded urban design team. He has led a multitude of projects around the country, specializing in large scale mixed-use / residential projects, particularly those based around high-quality public transit.Prior to joining Jasmax, Alistair spent two years as Senior Urban Designer with Auckland City Council, helping to provide an understanding of the complex relationship between statutory planning and urban design. He is currently a well-respected Chair of both the Auckland Urban Design Panel and the Hobsonville Design Review Panel. He was the Chair of the national committee of the Urban Design Forum from 2018 to 2022 and initiated the previous version of the Urbanism NZ Conference in Wellington in 2018.
